Picnic with the Blairs

My sister Design Mom is up visiting from Normandy. They are our first houseguests. Spring has officially arrived here in Paris so we've been making picnics a daily thing. Today we picnicked across the street at the Champ de Mars in front of the Eiffel Tower. Hooray for warm weather!

Is it warm where you live?

  5. How amazing! Such great memories for your immediate and extended family to share. I wish I could have a conversation with my child that starts with...."Honey,remember when we picnicked outside the Eiffel Tower and..." LOL

  7. I have lived in Paris during 9 years, close to rue Cler. I recommand you the cosy "Pain et chocolat" for breakfast or just a coffee, at 16 avenue de la Motte-Picquet. It was a place where I went with my children. It is very good. Hope you will enjoy ! (the 7ème arrondissement is definitely my favourite !).

  10. Amazing - I absolutely love it. How nice that you are not only creating memories with your husband and sons, but also with your sister and her family.
Not warm in San Francisco today - misty, foggy and cold, but that could all change this afternoon.

It is not warm here in Pennsylvania. However, the snow in our backyard that has been there since the day after Christmas finally all melted on Saturday, so I'd say that's a move in the right direction!

  36. okay, this is hysterical - well, maybe not *totally* hysterical, but funny none the less. I was just reading her blog and saw these photos and then, found you completely by accident and you have the same photos! I am so envious of BOTH of you moving your families to France - what a dream! For now, I will have to be satisfied with visiting at least once a year and looking at the real estate there...

Hi, I found this great construction of the Eiffel Tower with Lego Duplo bricks. The construction is a room high and the children love it!

Making this tower is fun and good for the motoric skills for the youngsters. Have fun!
