My sister Design Mom is up visiting from Normandy. They are our first houseguests. Spring has officially arrived here in Paris so we've been making picnics a daily thing. Today we picnicked across the street at the Champ de Mars in front of the Eiffel Tower. Hooray for warm weather!
Is it warm where you live?
What a perfect way to enjoy Paris -- and how wonderful that it's warm enough to pack a picnic an perch in front of the Eiffel Tower!

This looks like one of those few "perfect moments" you get in life. I'm jealous :)
ReplyDeletehow many children are there? hehe, it seems so funny!
ReplyDeleteNo it is not warm here. It's raining a lot. When the the suns out it's about 40 degree. I'm freezing. Thanks for asking!
ReplyDeleteHow amazing! Such great memories for your immediate and extended family to share. I wish I could have a conversation with my child that starts with...."Honey,remember when we picnicked outside the Eiffel Tower and..." LOL

Oh so fun! It's definitely not warm here; we got snow last night. :( Enjoy your visit and picnics!
ReplyDeleteI have lived in Paris during 9 years, close to rue Cler. I recommand you the cosy "Pain et chocolat" for breakfast or just a coffee, at 16 avenue de la Motte-Picquet. It was a place where I went with my children. It is very good. Hope you will enjoy ! (the 7ème arrondissement is definitely my favourite !).
ReplyDeleteWe're still covered in snow in Ottawa! But this has confirmed that I must see France in the spring!
ReplyDeleteSo excited that you're taking time to ENJOY the things that make Paris such an amazing city... the simple everyday beautiful moments!
ReplyDeleteAmazing - I absolutely love it. How nice that you are not only creating memories with your husband and sons, but also with your sister and her family.
ReplyDeleteNot warm in San Francisco today - misty, foggy and cold, but that could all change this afternoon.

ReplyDeleteWe still have snow on the ground in Toronto....can't wait until spring arrives!
I'm dreaming of spring (and in Paris- wouldn't that be great?) We got a foot of snow in Utah last night!
ReplyDeleteIt is not warm here in Pennsylvania. However, the snow in our backyard that has been there since the day after Christmas finally all melted on Saturday, so I'd say that's a move in the right direction!
ReplyDeletePicnicking under the Eiffel was a highlight in paris when we visited.
ReplyDeleteWarm in San Diego per usual -- and that is why I love it.
It looks beautiful. I'm jealous! It snowed a foot of snow last night. Sigh.
ReplyDeletewe're in Denmark and I don't dare to leave home without gloves yet... so quite jealous to all of you over there in Paris :)

ReplyDeleteI do indeed live where it's warm- on the sunny coast of California- and I've been enjoying the sunshine! Hope you are too, halfway around the world!!

ReplyDeleteHave you been to Merci yet (http://www.merci-merci.com/)? It is absolutely incredible. You MUST go!
ReplyDeleteokay, this is hysterical - well, maybe not *totally* hysterical, but funny none the less. I was just reading her blog and saw these photos and then, found you completely by accident and you have the same photos! I am so envious of BOTH of you moving your families to France - what a dream! For now, I will have to be satisfied with visiting at least once a year and looking at the real estate there...

Having sisters close is the best!
ReplyDeleteLooks like such a sweet afternoon you had. :)
It looks so cozy! I wish spring was here. It's snowing so much you can't see between cars :( Nice picnic ;)
ReplyDeleteSan Diego's getting warm too - though it really gets cold in Southern California...
ReplyDeleteI recently started following your blog - really enjoyed reading about the Paris adventures. I lived there for 4 months in 2009, and I miss it dearly!
oops - I meant it *never* really gets cold in Southern California...
ReplyDeleteI just visited Paris last week-end and I loved it! I'm so jelous for you to be able to live near the Eiffel. It was amazing!
ReplyDeleteHi, I found this great construction of the Eiffel Tower with Lego Duplo bricks. The construction is a room high and the children love it!
