We stopped by the
Montmartre Cemetery this week, it is a ten minute walk from our house. It is so old and beautiful. They have all these little houses for each grave. A lot of artists and creatives are buried there including Edward Degas. It was such a cold day!

More pictures, please!

ReplyDeleteI've been there! My husband and I went to Paris on our honeymoon 19 years ago and visited the cemetary. It's even more beautiful in summer...enjoying all your posts from France!
ReplyDeleteWould you mind sharing your source of supply of that terrific scarf :) ?
ReplyDeleteI agree, that is an awesome scarf! I hope you do have a warmer coat than that trench though, Paris can be quite cold in the winter.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely visit Pere la Chaise, so amazing!
ReplyDeleteI am so loving living in France vicariously through you and Gabby!! The Montmartre Cemetery reminds me a bit of a cemetery we toured in New Orleans while passing through several years ago. Not nearly as old as the Montmartre Cemetery though I'm sure. Happy Weekend!
ReplyDeleteif you have the chance to live in the 7th near la tour eiffel, it's not quite 10 minutes from your place. but it is a beautiful cemetery. Go to the bigger one of Pere Lachaise as well.

Beautiful pictures. I agree with those who say to visit Pere Lachaise, it is really a beautiful cemetery. I found the monuments to the victims of the Holocaust especially moving.
ReplyDeleteThe cemetery is at the end of our road. My daughter and I love to go there and look at the cats. Welcome to the neighborhood!
ReplyDeleteThis is just breathtaking. How did I miss this cemetery in Paris?
