Roman had his cleft palate surgery last Thursday so I'm laying low for a few days. The surgery went well but he is sad and needs lots of cuddling. Sad babies break my heart.
The no-no's made me recall when my little boy was going through his surgeries. There is nothing worse than seeing your little ones sad but....I can say from experience that he will bounce back quickly-their resilience is amazing:-)
My friends little boy had the same operation, and is now the happiest little boy I know... I hope you're all okay, won't be long before he's running around again!
holding you and the little one in the light (which is what Quakers say...sort of like, I'll send a prayer...) and hoping for a quick recovery! he's so precious!
Hello - I am new to your blog and got stuck at this heartbreaking and loving post. I know how you feel - sad babies (little and big ones) are heartbreaking!
How lucky he has such a loving and caring mother as you. The cuddles seem healing. Even for us who read your lovely blog.
Luckily there are mommies like you who make the sadness go away. Good job helping him to have bravery and giving him comfort. He couldn't be more adorable.
I love his "oh no's"! My daughter went thru the same surgery when she was 10 months old... seeing him with his arms in cuffs all snuggled up with you brings back memories :) happy cuddles!
