Oil Paintings

Last weekend I framed all the old oil paintings I've been collecting and hung them. The bedroom is looking so good. I can't wait until it is done. First we laid them out on the floor to decide a composition we liked. Here is a little peek at the work in progress, we took this quick photo on our Fujifilm INSTAX MINIso we could remember the order.

  3. where have you found all the little wooden frames? i'm looking for some similar. it's hard to drag the kids to the thrift store, but it seems like the kind of thing I could find there.

  5. I love this! I've been debating whether or not to frame all of my oil paintings but some of the most amazing frames are empty so it's still a possibility!

  6. Carrie, I got all of the frames from thrift stores, flea markets, or ebay (if they came with the painting). I didn't like the look of new frames.

  7. Love your layout of them.

How do I know if I'm getting a decent price on an old oil painting Jordan? Are there things to look for that make one worth more than another?

I've just started my collection. Got a 5x7 flower bouquet type for $10 that still had a tag on it from a previous auction selling it for $160. Then sat. I found an 11x14 of a mother and baby that I don't think I can live without but it was $175. My husband says I can. :)
