Documenting Labor and Birth

Having a second baby has been a really good experience because we were able to change some of the things that happened that we didn't love at Moses' birth. One thing was we decided this time we wanted an extra set of hands to take photos and help Paul if he needed it. We asked my good friend Aubrey (who is conveniently a photographer) to help. Here are some polaroids she took. I am so glad I have these.

  12. That labor one still kills me... the tear! And the last one is my favorite for sure. So glad Aubrey was able to be there to capture this for you and Paul and Ro-Ro. It's so much better than just the "after" photos that I have. Aubrey has such a talent.

  71. Wow these photos are amazing, and so is your baby. They really capture the labour and birth. Gorgeous! I love polaroids. He's a lucky boy to have you, I wish you well with the surgery, he is an absolute beauty. One of my best friends was born with a cleft palate, she's one of the most self assured and grounded people I have ever met, she says she was made strong and determined by this and the love her parents gave her. Oh and she's just about to have her first little baby! Happy days! x
