We went for a walk on Canal St Martin last week. The streets were closed off so pedestrians and bicyclists had full reign of the street. There are people everywhere along the banks just sitting and looking and reading. I've been exploring some of the shops in the neighborhood and have found some real gems. The neighborhood reminds me a little bit of the Mission district in San Francisco. It's super hip and sort of rough around the edges.
ps: the dress is from Mango (I love their skirts and dresses because they have pockets!) The fluorescent belt is from JCrew.
love love love the dress...source???

ReplyDeleteGlad y'all enjoying your time in Paris! It's one of my favorite cities ever.
I just bought a skirt today precisely because it had perfect pockets right on the side seams. I share your pocket love.

ReplyDeleteOh I love Canal Saint Martin! Did you check out the little park near there? It's called Jardin Villemin. It has great jungle gyms for all the kiddos even the small toddlers (my son was 13 months the first time we went and he had a blast!). Check it out next time. Plus they are separated by age so no 8 year olds on the small children toys!
ReplyDeleteI have been living in Paris for 10 years, but it's always a pleasure to see some pictures of this beautiful city. (love your dress... very fifties !)
ReplyDeleteI stayed in the 10th for a couple of weeks last summer and fell in love with the neighborhood. Definitely check out Maria Luisa pizzeria on the corner of Marie and Louise. Definitely the best pizza in Paris, if not the whole world, and of course the chicest pizzeria ;) Also try Cambodge for delicious Cambodian food. It is just northeast of canal.
ReplyDeleteso true ! I cannot resist dresses with pockets. still trying to look for the perfect one... destination mango next !
ReplyDeleteYou look properly French! Lovely!
