I think the best way to help is to donate to the LDS humanitarian aid fund. 100% of donations will be used to help victims and they can purchase things closer to the disaster area and save on shipping.

ReplyDeleteI'm writing from New Zealand where we also just had a big quake, so Japan is certainly on our minds and we can relate in a new way.
ReplyDeleteThe consensus in NZ was that the best way to help was to simply send money (as opposed to trying to send goods). The clean up bill will be massive.

ReplyDeleteWhile you were over in Paris for the year, you could turn those photographs into postcards or the photos into paintings into postcards and sell them at tourist shops around the eiffel tower...just had the thought and wanted to tell you. All the best to you in Paris!

ReplyDeleteWe have been in the midst of the Christchurch, NZ quake and we have found it best that people first, pray, and then give to churches. Our church is able to streamline the process of aid and help families directly. Especially those out of work and trying to care for families. best, Jennifer

ReplyDeleteI'm a Japanese person who live in Canada now.I couldn't understand when I heard this news.I'm heartbreaking now...but the US navy in Japan now and they are working for Japanese people. I'd like to say "Thank you" to the US people. I hope everythings get better soon....

:-)) Are your children are happy too in France ? If you need Babysitters, my little sister ( 20 years old ) is a very good one, and is fluent in american (which is not my case ;-). She use to babysit (is that a real verb ? to babysit ?) my two boys.
The Japanese tragedy is too sad, the way to help is to donate to humanitarian aid I think ... what else ? Have a god week.
