Have a Safe Weekend

I woke up this morning to the horrible news of the Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Tragedy. I am heartbroken for the people of Japan and hope we can all find a way to help. I hope everyone has a safe weekend. What do you think is the best way to help?

ps: The Great Cake Sale ends at midnight PST tonight.

I also write for Babble.com and here are my posts for the week.

My favorite French clothing line (they ship to the US and it's cheap!)
Hello, my name is Jordan, and I like my babies in speedos.
See what all the French shops have here. (I bought some!)
Discovered these sweet blankets, love the concept.

  2. I think the best way to help is to donate to the LDS humanitarian aid fund. 100% of donations will be used to help victims and they can purchase things closer to the disaster area and save on shipping.

  7. I'm writing from New Zealand where we also just had a big quake, so Japan is certainly on our minds and we can relate in a new way.

The consensus in NZ was that the best way to help was to simply send money (as opposed to trying to send goods). The clean up bill will be massive.

  8. Hi Jordan, A Beautiful Idea is sending money to quake victims in Japan thru World Vision. Any artist can be involved by donating a full or partial amount of their sales.

While you were over in Paris for the year, you could turn those photographs into postcards or the photos into paintings into postcards and sell them at tourist shops around the eiffel tower...just had the thought and wanted to tell you. All the best to you in Paris!

  14. I agree with love.boxes but I bet you already knew that. I trust the church to give the aid directly to the people. I wish I knew of other ways to help.

  15. We have been in the midst of the Christchurch, NZ quake and we have found it best that people first, pray, and then give to churches. Our church is able to streamline the process of aid and help families directly. Especially those out of work and trying to care for families. best, Jennifer

Your comment about the sleepers shoes and your children is so funny !!! :-)
They can feel that you find them too cute wearing those adorable shoes ...
:-)) Are your children are happy too in France ? If you need Babysitters, my little sister ( 20 years old ) is a very good one, and is fluent in american (which is not my case ;-). She use to babysit (is that a real verb ? to babysit ?) my two boys.
The Japanese tragedy is too sad, the way to help is to donate to humanitarian aid I think ... what else ? Have a god week.

  20. Okay, I feel frivolous posting this as a comment to the horrible tragedy in Japan, but I'm wondering if Stuck is ever coming back? I need some labels, and nothing else compares. . .
