Let Them Eat Cake Art Show

Last Friday was our art show collaboration. There was a ton of people there (thanks for coming!) and everyone ate lots of cake. The show is now for sale online right here. A ton of people helped so I wanted to say thanks to my friend Jared who whipped together a wooden sandwich board at the last minute for us. And also to Liz and Michelle for making yummy homemade cakes. Anh Minh who helped me write some of the phrases and to Aubrey who helped hang the show and made the awesome tape cake on the sidewalk.

For the show we strung party streamers all over the paintings and threw confetti all along the edges of the room for a festive feel. We also wrote a loaded little phrase for each and put it below the painting , like:

"She was taking the train to New York with three bags, her French Bulldog and a large yellow cake."

"After dessert they went onto the roof and watched the stars."

It was fun, everyone walked around the room looking at paintings, eating cake, and reading the little sayings. To see the paintings and read some of the little sentences go here.
