Anthology Magazine

Anthology Magazine is a real live shelter magazine IN PRINT (a rare thing these days) that is the brain child of Anh-Minh Le and Meg Mateo Ilasco. It will come out quarterly starting next month. I've seen the mock-up and I was shocked how much good content is in this thing, its story after story of good ideas. They aren't skimpy with the articles. There is a tiny peek at some of the stuff right here. Grace at Design*Sponge did a post on it right here, including a cute stop motion video.

Another exciting personal tid-bit. I got to style an entertaining story in the first issue and it may or may not hold the greatest frozen yogurt recipe known to man. (I'm not exaggerating.)

I just signed up for a subscription and you can right here. After Domino folded I made a decision to subscribe to every magazine I am interested in. I love online content and am inspired by it but there is something about turning pages in your hands. If we don't want to lose that then we need to support magazines we love.

  2. Carolynpom - Good eye! That is indeed Kris' work.

Jordan - I can't tell you how often I've made that recipe. It's the perfect accompaniment to whatever fruit is in season. Love it. (Thanks for working with us, and for posting about Anthology!)

  3. Thanks for the heads up on the new mag! I agree with you about "the something" in turning the pages of a paper magazine. Now days a lot of grade schools (my daughter's at least) do magazine subscription drives to raise funds for the school. It's a great way to support both magazines and schools. :)

  4. @Carolynpom, it is a Kris Atomic illustration on the cover! She described the creative process over on her blog. I can't wait to see this mag in person!

  6. I adore magazines! I haven't used this service but it seems like a pretty neat way to subscribe to a variety of good magazines & try new ones - http://maghound.com. Not to mention I like their cute pup logo =)
