Mad Men is back and has me thinking of all things mid-century. These lovely colorful phones from Sweet Bella are from the 1950's British General Post Office and have been rewired so that you can plug them in to use at home. That is, if you remember how to use a rotary telephone!
love them. they remind me of my grammie. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, these are great. You have to have a really long cord and twirl it around while you talk...ahh.
ReplyDeleteI have a pink rotary phone. The great thing about it is the ability to function during a power outage.
ReplyDeleteI love the blue one. Those kind of phones make you want to snuggle in a chair and talk to your lovie!

i love, love, love these old phones. we bought one a while ago and it still has an old phone number on it - we've been dying to call it and tell them we have their phone!
ReplyDeleteMy parents still use their rotary phone (it's yellow like your second picture). They are constantly losing digital phones in lightning storms but the old rotary never fails.
ReplyDeleteLovely colours. The weight of the receiver in your hand felt good, as did the sound when you dialled. Ahhh.
ReplyDeleteThese are so adorable. I have been eyeying vintage rotary phones like these for a long time, but can never decide on one since we don't have a land line in our apartment.
ReplyDeleteLove these! So darling. And everyone needs to have a rotary phone at home simply so their little ones know how to play with the classic fisher price toy phone!
ReplyDeleteLove the colors.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful and vintage!
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh, that blue is to die for!
