Wayne Thiebaud Cakes

Love this spread of cakes mimicking a Wayne Thiebaud painting. It is one of those obvious ideas that I'm surprised I haven't seen it before (or wish I had thought of myself). Lisa, the bride, is a genius.

  1. Crazy to see this--we just posted on this, too! (As in, like, minutes ago.)

I love it--it's the perfect idea for a California wedding. I feel like Thiebaud and I are on a path together... he lived in my home town of Long Beach, spent time in NY, and teaches at my university (Davis)!

  3. Um, yeah. I felt the same way when I saw it and then I wondered if I could pull it off for my daughter's 3rd birthday next year because she loves her Wayne Thiebaud counting book.

  11. Oh oh, how lovely..

I have a particular love of colour-spectrum-arranged bookshelves and just quirky shelf displays in general. Twas one of my husband and my bonding moments
(the link below takes you to some of the shelves he arranged in our house before I was to move in after the nuptials)
