While
this picture does feature my darling niece June, I wanted to point out how amazing my sister, Gabrielle, aka
Design Mom is at styling bookshelves. Although she'll deny it, her house is amazing. (It ALWAYS has been.) This bookshelf isn't filled with expensive art books, just the regular kind of books people actually have. But her bookshelf looks straight out of a magazine. Gab, can you come out and visit and do this to my bookshelf?

so beautiful, but once I saw the baby I couldn't take my eyes off of her. So sweet. She's the baby in the bookshelf. How nice to sleep surrounded by books.

ReplyDeleteI used to have bookshelves organized like this... but we moved and now have no bookshelves. boo.
I thought the same thing when I first saw this photo! I love how she organized it by color. I can't wait until I have enough books to try something like this.
ReplyDeleteI just started organizing my bookshelf by color and I am amazed at how much better my "normal" bookshelf looks already. And the baby?! Beyond adorable!
ReplyDeleteI just love this picture. I saw it on DM first and just can't get over how cute it is. The bookshelf is great too!
ReplyDeletesooo cute! I aspire to have an awesome bookshelf. My uncle's partner is an interior designer and her WALLS are all books. I love it.
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute!
ReplyDeleteI arranged my bookshelf by color last year, and at first, the idea kind of horrified me, because I am a librarian, but I LOVE how it looks, so I kept it that way.
ReplyDeleteI so enjoy seeing other people's books. You can learn so much about them. I've debated with my husband over the years about keeping my Riverside Shakespeare - I'm glad to see it sitting in Gabby's shelves too!
This is so lovely. I'm filing this away for the days when I have a baby!
