Birthday Surprise in the Mail

Last month for Aubrey's birthday I organized a surprise for her. We blew up a picture of her and cut it down into cards, 112 to be exact. Then I sent them to her family and friends all over the world with instructions to send them back with love notes and drawings. The whole week of her birthday she kept getting cards from friends and family like pieces of a puzzle. It turned out really great. Not all of the cards made it back but we knew that would happen and I kind of like that some got lost or forgotten.

The picture is of her brilliant burglar costume from last Halloween.

(POST EDIT: Here are the instructions.)

  11. That's awesome, but what I really want to know is what is that giant knitted thing she is standing on? Is it a knitted couch? Because if it is, I want it. I wonder where I can get giant yarn like that.

We had a period of one year between our civil wedding and the church wedding. Every week we received a letter with a card. The finsished picture showed our engagement kiss:-)
