Spades
Habitually Chic did a post the other day of pictures from Kate and Andy Spade's home. I hadn't seen most of the pictures before and was completely inspired by their use of art and stripes. The design is classic and timeless. Here are a couple of my favorites but go check out all of them if you haven't seen them already.

ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm glad to see some great images of dark walls and groupings of photos both in this post and at Habitually Chic. Our master bedroom has dark navy walls thanks to the previous owners and I've been struggling with decor. Thank you for sharing these inspiring images!
Wow...I love how it's absolutely stunning, yet, at the same time...well, it could be anybody's house. It's not overly extravagant. I have loved Kate Spade ever since reading her great little books on style, and reading about how she and Andy like to crack open bottles of champagne and boil whole lobsters on Sunday afternoons. So adorable!

I love this post so very much!! And I love Kate Spade....I remember someone asked her once how she would describe her style to which she said "Classic, with an element of surprise." How fantastic is that? I am also so blown away that the actor David Spade is her brother-in-law. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful spread of lovely photos!!

I love that she used gray as the backdrop in almost every room and then just added punches of yellow, green and strong black lines (art, stripes, etc)
ReplyDeleteI like the wallpaper, if it's like Jordan's...peels off. I have a feeling that would be the only thing I'd tire of after seven years (like zebra rugs)
The rest is very classic...including the kitchen floor.
