I've been working on getting Moses' toy area better organized. I'm completely inspired by Lisa Mahar's setup. Lisa owns the fabulous kid store Kid O. Although I have limited space I am interested in making sure things have a place rather than just stuffing everything in the toy basket I also am working on curating our toy collection. Go here to read Lisa's interview and see more pictures.
Oh I love their little beds! And that toy area is so clean and organized, I wonder how long it stays that way.
ReplyDeleteWow it's so clean and spacious! I can't believe this is actually a KID'S room. Haha.
ReplyDeleteWhere did you find those beds? They are perfect.

ReplyDeleteI love this! I want one of the twins' beds for my son. Any ideas on where she got them?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure where the beds are from but I agree, they are perfect. I want one custom made for Moses' closet.
ReplyDeletethe rooms clean organized spaciousness is inspiring indeed.
ReplyDeletethanks for leading me to kid o! i have been wondering where to find montessori-style toys and this place is perfect. i just posted about this on my site (giving all the glory to you, of course). your findings are always fantastic! keep it up.
ReplyDeleteI don't get the appeal, it seems so sterile and institutional. I expect someone to jump out and start screaming about the evils of wire hangers.

I agree about the beds..they are TOO CUTE! I definitely need one of those when my son gets older.
ReplyDeleteHmm.. and she says she knows kids?? she is a awesome designer but she doesnt see her kids. I'll play transformers any day with my kids rather than have them play with high design toys with a Nanny. this is cut from the article...
ReplyDelete"You must spend a lot of time with your children.
I run a business, I work from nine to six, my kids go to bed at seven. I have a nanny on the weekends, I have other help …
So does your older son have playdates?
I’m being very slowly won over to playdates but my feeling is that school is very intense and it’s very group focused, so I think it’s important for him to have some time to himself to do his own things."
