Summer List

This is the time of year when I get panicky. I dread cold weather so when I looked at the calendar and saw August is almost over I made a list of things I must do before Summer is over. The weather here in SF really gets warmed up in September so I have another 6+ weeks of summer.

Make fresh squeezed lemonade
Host an outdoor movie screening
Go camping on the beach
Host a welcome party for my brother and sister in law
Go on a hike to Mt Tam
Buy and eat lots of summer fruit
Host two outdoor dinner parties (I am super inspired by the long tables by Outstanding in the Field) via EmilyStyle

  1. These are so lovely! I hear you on the end-of-summer panic, quickly followed by back-to-school-season wistfulness.

Some people have a biological clock. I have a socializing clock. Those pictures just made the dinner party buzzer ring.

  9. hey jordan, i thought you'd like to check out a couple write-ups my boyfriend did during his experience at an outstanding in field dinner. he's doing some media work for top chef winner, stephanie izard, and she just made a funny video for her blog that he features, http://backyardnavel.blogspot.com/2009/08/because-all-cool-kids-are-doing-it.html. and another one of his write-ups can be found here: http://backyardnavel.blogspot.com/2009/08/i-hope-this-doesnt-tread-on-sentiment.html
