My friend Kim gave me this awesome Guacamole book called Guac Off! by Chronicle Books. We've been making Guacamole like crazy this week. I can go through a big bowl in one sitting. This book makes a great little gift.
I loooove guac! Ryan doesn't like it, so I'll go through a whole bowl all by myself! Can totally sub for dinner though :) My problem is that I'm terrible at buying avacados. Always too ripe or not ripe enough...
That is so great - I need it! My boyfriend and I both felt we made the best guacamole, so we held a guac-off with 14 friends and made them vote between the two (blind vote of course). I won by 2 votes, but even he says the fun of the night was worth losing to me. Margaritas and guac - what more could you ask for?!
Interesting!! In Mexico we use avocados as an ingredient in salads or in the top of tacos, and of course "guacamole"... I didn't realize until now that I just know a few avocado recipes. I should buy this book!!! :)
how bad do i want this?? i've been meaning to enter the guacamole contest at the california avocado festival. we're getting married this year right around that time, so maybe nest year...
As someone who makes guac at least once a week, I need this! I'd love some new variations. I'm a fan of making homemade chips with it too, mmmmmm
