Sewing on Wood

I am so inspired by this card the talented Ruthi Auda made. She sewed on wood! This makes all those little wheels in my head turn.

    That is SO inspiring! I can imagine making them into door stops, book ends, paper weights - what a great gift idea.
    Now I just have to figure out how to do it without being covered in splinters...
