My favorite person in the whole world was born today. Usually I do some surprise for Paul but this year I asked him what he wanted and he said he just wanted to explore Paris together without kids. So today we've been out going to a ton of stores and tonight we're going to the D'Orsay and trying a new restaurant then afterward we'll stroll along the streets of Paris late at night, which is my favorite thing to do. These pictures were from lunch at Merci today where we had an amazing meal. (And green soup!)
Paul is the best person I know, I'm so lucky I found someone who is talented, supportive, an incredible father and just a really good person. Paul, I love you to the blue blue sky.
Here are some of the things I've done in the past for Paul's birthday.
Follow the red yarn.
The Break Dancing Grizzly Bear.
Give a Speech Party.
I'm incredibly curious, how on earth have you managed to find trusted babysitters so soon after moving?
ReplyDeleteMy friend who helped us get settled is going to grad school at the American University and has access to lots of friends/babysitters that speak English.
ReplyDeletei love that "give a speech" party. hilarious. i also love seeing brooke (and christian) and kelly on here from time to time! small world...
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Paul!
ReplyDeleteok so I am just DYING with laughter from the dancing bear. such a great idea!! i will have to do this someday. :) thanks for the speech party idea too...
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog a couple of weeks ago and am loving it. And this post is just so sweet. Nice to see so much happiness.
ReplyDeleteI went to university in Paris (AUP) - missing it a lot now that I read your blog.
Happy Birthday to your main man. What a lovely post. I love that place setting, so incredibly cool. Glad you had a day exploring your amazing city. Pruxxx
ReplyDeleteTouring around Paris without kids sounds like a GREAT birthday gift. I also like the red string idea from last year. I can't imagine using it for my husband, but I'm sure my kids would love it. Thanks for the idea!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Paul!
ReplyDeleteHappy bday!!
ReplyDeleteI was planning for lunch in merci next week. Did you love the store? I heard mixed reviews and dh just came back and said it was so crowded for lunch. I'll be without kid and husband so I can wait!
Ah...you were in my neighborhood! We love Merci...so healthy...I love all of their food and the shopping too!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Paul
March 17 Birthday's are the best ~ I celebrated mine as well. Cheers to Paul! Enjoying your Parisian adventures...
ReplyDelete*grin*
ReplyDeleteIt was my SO's birthday as well. But he wouldn't let me do any cute birthday surprises. I just made him the torte he asked for and gave him a cutely wrapped gift that he tore to pieces. :)
the quote "my favorite person in the entire world" in regards to your man is so romantic it almost made me cry. thanks for inspiring others with your true love story :)
ReplyDeleteHmmm for some reason only half the post can be seen. I tried reloading but still same.
