I have been an Ikea fan for many, many years. We have one in Jersey, which is where I used to live. One just opened up near my home in Ohio, and I visit often. :-) Just got the new catalog and can't wait to go through it!!!
You'll definitely regret that last one with the fringe on the edges. Your kid(s) will A-try to eat it (and succeed) or B-spend hours meticulously pulling each and every thread out and scattering them throughout the rest of your apartment. Believe me, I know.
I own the second rug. I have a large 3.5' square ottoman that sits on top of it, which reduces chance for eye crossing. and ikea rugs shed so I alternated between vacuuming and shaking outside for probably twenty minutes which helped. For such an inexpensive rug (!), it's worth the change in scenery :)
we've had it forever now, and sometimes i stuff socks in the places where the sides join b/c it's squeaky and semi-rickety. i love how it looks, but i don't know if i'd do it again.
You should go to Flor.com and play around with their floor carpet tiles. Most of the styles you can order tile by tile rather than a box, so you can make your own rug basically. Plus, you can basically pick them up and hose them off if there is an accident by a pet or a spill. There's an area rug section under the "Shop By" pulldown, but if you buy tiles and cut them yourself it's way cheaper. :)
I've been crazy for the second rug but it's *never* in stock at my local IKEA. What gives? I've been looking for alternatives, but most are terribly expensive.

They hold up so well, too. I love mine from a few years ago.
hmm, I might have to give Ikea a chance in my rug-commitment search as well! Thanks for these!
I'm already cross-eyed. Too busy.
Regrettable later.
Oh wow! I had no idea. I can't wait until the Ikea opens here in Charlotte.
Now I'm wondering why I've had such bad luck with Ikea rugs, they shed like mad for me. Maybe because I'm opting for the cheaper (yet very cute ones).
I love the graphic look of these. Very cool!
i like the first one the best.

I've never had an ikea rug that didn't shed large fluffs of fiber constantly.
yay i have the last one in my apt. easy to keep clean and doesn't shed. love the others too!
I peruse the rug section every time I go, even if I have absolutely no need for a rug!

we've moved several times, so we've had to disassemble it a lot, which doesn't help. they are a PAIN to move.
but i think that's the nature of beds like this that are sort of top heavy. they're not the most stable...

We have the 2nd to the last one and love it! Very durable and easy to clean. It doesn't shed either!
