-A 7 day MUNI pass for all Bus and Metro lines
-Unlimited Cable Car rides (usually $5 a pop)
-A Cruise around the Bay OR a Boatride to Alcatraz
-Entrance to Aquarium of the Bay
-The de Young Museum and the Legion of Honor
-The Exploratorium
-California Academy of Sciences & Steinhart Aquarium OR Asian Art Museum
-Entrance to the SF Museum of Modern Art
Besides being a really good deal it sort of gives you an agenda. Especially if you are traveling with kids. If you pepper these things with more charming activities like:
-Boatrides on Stow Lake in Golden Gate Park
-Ferry Building and a picnic on a pier
-A walk across the Golden Gate Bridge or down by Crissy Field
-Boutique shopping in the Marina, Hayes Valley, or Polk Street
-Alameda Flea Market {If it is the first Sunday of the month}
-Eat at good authentic SF restaurants
then you'll have a nice blend of touristy/relaxing things to do.

...and don't freaking drive! I get lost so many times with those crazy streets it takes a little bit for the fun to start. ;-)
good post!
What a great idea to do with kids. My husband and I love the Legion of Honor... that's where it all started for us...
We are going to be there in September and I've been wondering what to with my kids. Thanks for the ideas!
We got this when we went to London, and it is a genius idea! A great way to save and see the sites that you really ought to see.
